The SADC Gender and Development Monitor monitors the progress made by SADC Member States towards achieving the targets and goals of the SADC Protocol on Gender and Development. The 2016 edition of the Monitor, prepared after the initial timeline of 2015 for meeting set targets outlined in the Protocol had lapsed, provides an update on progress made by Member States at national and regional levels in meeting these targets. The SADC Gender and Development Monitor 2016 builds on previous monitors published in 2006, 2009, and 2013.
